DAVID UTTER David joined FACEDANCER in 1975 as a sound technician. He left in 1976 to join the band LADY, only to return to FACEDANCER in 1977 on rhythm guitar. He played on the first release,
“This World.” After leaving FACEDANCER in 1980, he re-formed the band FAST EDDIE.
Hmm-mm David, David, David … David lives in Asheville, North Carolina and is presently married to Janice Utter, a swimsuit/lingerie model/calendar girl. She coulda been a “Bond Girl” … as John Lennon said, “Life is what happens when you’re making plans.” David’s son, a budding scientist, is presently studying magnetic levitation, the Koran, The Old Testament, and a little book by Karl Marx concerning dialectical materialism under the tutelage of Prof Don Van Vilet, PhD, MBA, LSD, and PRN.
It’s dark chocolate and champagne poured into her 32-D cups every nite at the boodwah in David’s mountain bungalow. “I can wash her panties in a shot glass,” quotes David.
David is totally stoked to be back with the BEATLES, my old rock soldier buddies cranking, out the tunes. And, he looks forward to working again with the Fab Seven.

DAVID LONG David was raised in Cranston, Rhode Island. He started playing in a rock band after attending just a few classes as a freshman at the University of Rhode Island and was one of the founding members of FACEDANCER where he played keyboards. The band migrated to Washington, DC, but DJ had to leave the band in 1976 due to health reasons. He came back to the music circuit in 1979 where he was part of KING DAZZLE, who eventually transitioned into HI-FI. In 1981, HI-FI members joined with FACEDANCER. In 1982, DJ along with two former FACEDANCER band mates, formed GROWING UP DIFFERENT. The group was fairly successful, playing concerts all over the Eastern Seaboard. In between, in the spring of 1982, DJ and a fellow band member became singing comedians touring the Washington, DC comedy nightclub circuit and called themselves THE TWINS.
A retired, mild-mannered politician who served four terms on the Jamestown Town Council, he was elected to the office in 1999 and served as the council president.
Today, DJ still plays the keyboards and has written a few children’s songs. He and his wife, Dana, live with their twin daughters, Sophie and Jesse. And that’s his real full-time job these days: taking care of the twins.
